3 Reasons Why It Feels Great To Be Filipino:

  • Filipinos are linguists. Put a Filipino in any city, any town around the world. Give him a few months or even weeks and he will speak the local language. Filipinos are adept at learning and speaking languages. In fact, it is not uncommon for Filipinos to speak at least three: his dialect, Filipino, and English. If they work abroad, many speak an added language, the host country's language.
  • Filipinos are nannies. to quote and unquote the definition of a nanny, "She is someone who gives more than she takes. she is someone you trust to look after the very people most precious to you - your child, your elderly, yourself. she is the one who has made a living out of caring and loving other people...it is a testament to the loving and caring culture of the Filipino people..."
uhh..two na lang muna..hehehe..^^

sunset sessions.

there's nothing like a day spent with a wacky bunch of people. the people in the pictures is the the rho-tau family. these are the people i haven't seen and bonded with for years.

this is probably the last summer most of us will be together. a lot actually are lacking in the picture. there's allen and chesca who's studying in Dumaguete and Bacolod, respectively, Nikki and Neil who's studying in ceby, Rf who's spending his summers in chicago, the beta5 who's busy with their love lives [heheheh..iadd pa talaga noh] and many more. after this year, even more are leaving and moving on with their lives. noi, jk and ramil will be in cebu and the nurses will surely be busy with grad and their long list of exams.

we've all been together for eight years now and no matter how much we're having our eat-outs in the city, nothing beats a well planned reunion. we're all closer than ever, that's why it was such sweet sadness to enjoy this occasion, knowing it would be the last almost-complete rho-tau reunion.

this is probably a test of friendship. from highschool barkadas going to different colleges to taking our own career paths. "nothing lasts forever", like they say, but this is the kind of time you just wish you could stop the clock and keep everything you have close to you. (biancag)
